What a difference from our morning hike on Equinox Mountain where we were in the fog and snow with no view. We began our ascent of Haystack at 1:15 PM and were on the summit in an hour. The sun was out and it had warmed up into the 40's. With no breeze, it felt almost like summer.
We lingered on the summit for about 45 minutes and then returned to the car at 4 PM.
Hike Distance: 3 miles
Hike Time: 2 hours
Total Vertical Gain: 1183'
Trail Head Elevation: 1000'

Don't miss this short hike if you are in the area and it is a clear day. The summit is wonderful and so are the views.
